Leafs with something to prove in closing out 2010-2011
Toronto has much to prove tonight as they enter the finale of the 2010-2011 season, Montreal? not so much.
Toronto would like to finish strong with a win, showing their fans they aren't a mirage.
It would actually benefit Montreal to lose this game tonight as they try to avoid a first round show down with the rival Boston Bruins, instead the odds would be that Montreal plays a Crosby/Malken'less Pittsburgh Penguin team that seems ripe for an early first round.
Game Notes:
Leafs Prospect Matt Frattin makes his NHL debut (Toronto signed him yesterday).
Marlie forward Joe Colborne (acquired in the Kaberle deal) makes his NHL debut tonight.
